IELTS is the most sought-after English proficiency test among Indian hopefuls who are applying to study in institutions abroad, work in a foreign organization, or settle in an English-speaking country.

In accordance with local demand, the IELTS exam is offered up to four times each month on 48 predetermined dates throughout the year.

Furthermore, there is no cap on how often individuals can take the IELTS exam; they can do so until they achieve the score they desire.

How to Register for IELTS Online

The following is a step-by-step process on how to register for IELTS online:

Step 1: Visit the official website of IELTS.

Step 2: Click on the option ‘Register for Test’.

Step 3: Choose your preferred type and the IELTS test date as per your convenience.

Step 4: Enter your personal information.

Step 5: Make sure the passport copies are uploaded in the correct format.

Step 6: Select a list of universities where you will be submitting your scorecard.

Step 7: Give a double check to all the information you have entered.

Step 8: Pay the required IELTS exam fee as per the specified modes of payment.

Step 9: Print out your acknowledgment receipt.

Note: You will receive an acknowledgment via your provided phone number or email after registering online.

You can reserve a slot online for the IELTS PBT at the time and date of your choice. If your preferred time slot is not available, a time slot will be assigned to you automatically.

IELTS Exam Slot Booking

The applicant needs a valid passport and a debit/credit card to pay the registration fee of INR 15,500 in order to reserve a slot for the IELTS exam. When registering for the exam, keep the following things in mind:

  • Applicant must be older than 16 to sit for the exam.

  • The details a candidate provided at the time of registering for the test must correspond to the data on their passport.

  • Candidates must have their debit or credit cards available when registering for the test.

  • They must also carry a valid passport on the exam day.
