City College of New York Transfer Requirements; what are they looking for in a transfer applicant?
Transfer students are a welcome addition and make a significant contribution to the City College community.
Applications that are submitted after the deadline are considered on a space-available basis only.
Transfer applicants are required to submit official transcripts from each college attended, as well as from their high schools.
A $70.00 non-refundable application fee will be paid during the time of application.
Those who have a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) must also submit GED test scores.

2. Submit Your Application
Start your Application: At this stage, you log into the CUNY Application using either a guest account or your CUNYfirst account.
Of course, you will apply as a transfer applicant if you have enrolled in college after completing high school. One application allows you to apply to 4 CUNY colleges.
Application Fees
As part of the City College of New York transfer requirements, all applicants are required to submit a non-refundable application fee in order to be considered for admission.
The Freshman Application fee is $65. The Transfer Application fee is $70.

Your transcripts may be sent electronically or through mail to CUNY/UAPC. You will be asked to provide the following documents:

4. Check Your Admission Status
After submitting your application, an email will be sent to you to log into CUNYfirst.

Financial Aid for Students
Financial aid covers school expenses which include tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, and transportation.
There are different categories of student financial aid and they are grants work-study, loans and scholarships.
It is advised that you apply for financial aid even before you have been accepted to a college.
Students will be able to file a FAFSA as early as October 1, prior to the Fall semester they will be attending.
Work-Study Questions
To be considered for the work-study program, you must fill out your financial aid applications by an established filing deadline and request consideration for FWS by checking the appropriate box on the FAFSA.
Where would I work?
Where you work depends on the amount of your award, schedule, class and job skills.
The FWS Placement or Financial Aid Office tries to place students in a job that complements or reinforces their educational program or career goals.
You may work on campus in one of the apartments of the college or off-campus at a number of non-profit community service agencies.
Alternatively, students can work in selected companies in the private sector, but if you receive a small award or if you are someone who has a heavy class schedule, you will be placed on campus.
