Is Bible College Online Free?
Online courses are great. They respect your time because you don’t have to physically attend classes, and also you don’t have to set hours for learning.
Interestingly, there are multiple Bible colleges that offer the possibility of taking online bible courses for free.
Many of these colleges release certificates as proof of your attendance, though some will charge you for your transcripts.
What are the Best Free Online Bible Courses?

- Christian Leaders Institute’s Courses: This by far is one of the best online Bible courses. It is free, you get your transcripts for free also, provided you pass the preliminary class Christian Leader Basics (which is also free).
- International Seminary for Distance Education’s courses: ISDET is an institute that promotes a very low-cost online education for everyone.
You will only be required to pay a small registration fee to enroll and then you’re done with payments.
- World Bible School’s Courses: These comprehensive courses have 10 different topics. These topics discuss the scripture, the way of faith, the Good News, and every other you need to understand the Bible.
- Harvard’s Course on Religious Literacy: This is a great introductory course on religion. This course is focused on Christianity or the Bible.
The course itself is free to audit, but if you want the certificate of completion, you’ll have to pay $99.
- Bold Christian University’s Degree Programs: In these programs, you will learn everything about Christianity. It gives a comprehensive understanding of Christianity and its history.
Though not an accredited school as at the time of this publication, but sure has some free courses.
- Trinity International Theological Seminary: The Trinity International Theological Seminary offers a whopping 13 courses about the Bible.
These courses are designed for everyone. The courses are entirely free, but each certificate of achievement will cost you $20.
- Open Yale Courses in Religious Studies: As you know, Yale is an Ivy League school that offers many online courses to the public for free.
There are 2 courses available through the Open Yale Courses platform. The courses don’t come with a certificate though free.
- Dallas Theological Seminary’s Courses: This course explains the scripture.
Completing these courses will take a long time. Many of these courses last several weeks, and there are 20 of them.
