WHAT IS CODING (PROGRAMMING)?
During my time in the University, we took a course where we had to learn computer doing languages. It looked strange to me although I could pick out some familiar words.
Imagine you are to speak to a group of deaf people, of course they do not understand English, all you can only use the sign language. That is how computer is. To give computers instruction then you need to use a computer Language so it can carry out instructions.
The Language computers understand is called binary code, a series of zeros and ones(on and off) . Therefore unless you are inputting a string of zeros and ones then the computer is likely not to understand you.
Although the computer understands the binary code, however it is very difficult for humans to interpret, that is where coding comes in. Coding is therefore a form of translator that pulls from human language building programs into your computer that translate what you’ve written into binary which the computer understands.
In simple terms, Coding/Programming is a form of writing that is not binary, which is easy to learn and interpret by humans, but then the computer can still understand.
However if you are thinking of learning coding, then I really think you should. Also in this article I will be talking about the difference between programing and coding.
